Wake Up, It's Late! Hello all Survivors and Kids out there! December has arrived, and we're a little behind with the trip out to PAX Unplugged, but we decided it would be best to drop things after so we could also recap the event for all of you. As normal, real quick before we dive into the loads of stuff we have to cover this time, you can connect with us on any of our official social media pages:
We're Alive: Frontier Season 2 Live
Thanks to all of your wonderful support we're pleased to announce that We're Alive: Frontier Season 2 is airing now on Alpha! You can use the code INFECTED for a 60-day trial! You'll get to join our crew of survivors as their story continues to unfold, not to mention getting on-demand access to Season 1 and a trove of other great shows and exclusives.
Oh, and if you're already joining us on our Discord you should also consider joining up to the We're Alive: Frontier Discord Channel too - chat with other fans of the show, and join in on live watchalongs with the cast every week!
Not exactly sure what this all is? For the uninitiated thus far, We're Alive: Frontier is a fusion of content the likes of which is hard to imagine. Combining the richly detailed world of the We're Alive audio drama with the award-winning tabletop RPG experience of Outbreak: Undead.. and topping it all off with the talented folks over at Geek & Sundry with the backing of Alpha - this is an experience unlike anything else you've seen before.
Free Content Friday
Free Content Friday for Outbreak: Undead.. has been coming along very well so far since bringing it back, and everyone seems to be enjoying the content that has been rolling out from it. Not only has it been good to get back into the swing of bringing all of you some amazing content to expand your gaming experiences, but to finally open this project up to our amazing community of fans and our friends within the industry.
We've already had content rolling out created by some of these fantastic folks, and this month we're bringing you the next in that vein. This next sampling comes to us from David Zuckman - you might know him as one of the zombies seen in the Outbreak books, the owner of Obscure Reference Games, or as co-creator of the awesome boardgame Overlords of Infamy. For our project he has worked up an interesting character that can be used in a few different ways in game - Dr. C. Olsen.
Be sure to drop by and grab your copy, available now in the Outbreak: Undead.. Downloads and on DriveThruRPG!
If you're interested in trying your own hand at creating some content for Outbreak: Undead.. you can reach out on our Discord, Facebook Page or Community, Twitter, or even just pop an email directly to alex[AT]huntersbooks(DOT)com with a Subject Line of "FCF Details Request" for more information on how to get involved. Just one more way for us to show you how much we appreciate all of you!
QSG featuring Tri-County Precinct
In case you happened to miss the announcement, we released the updated Quick Start Guide with Tri-County Precinct. This release features the basic rules of the game, a scenario that makes use of the rules presented (but can be easily expanded with the content from the full core game), a pack of pregenerated characters that can be used in play and are the default characters for the featured scenario, and Opponent templates including Living, Zombies, and the Glutton which can all be used in advance of the Gamemaster's Guide by GM's looking to dive in now and get their survival stories going.
If you have been wanting to try the game out before you buy this is the way to go!
Mission Briefings
We mentioned last month that we were going to be releasing a few of the more common Mission Briefings for GMs to make use of while they wait on the Gamemaster's Guide. This is intended to compliment the details provided in the updated Quick Start Guide to allow for games to get underway as we get things finished up on the remainder of the core rules not yet in your hands.
Initially we had been hoping to get this released last month, however an urgent task came up that prevented us from being able to meet this original projection. Despite this minor delay, we anticipate being able to get you this content in the coming month.
Errata Still Coming
Thanks once again to everyone who sent us feedback on the Core Book to help us work up the errata that is going to be needed. We planned on releasing the Survivor's Guide Errata last month, but that sadly didn't end up panning out (see above with the Mission Briefings). That said, this is still on the docket, and will come in the form of an updated PDF for the digital version and as a download the will be printer friendly for those with print copies of the book.
Since this hasn't been dropped just yet, if you do happen to catch some things that seem off in the book please do not hesitate to reach out and let us know.
PAX Unplugged Recap
Hunters Entertainment and Renegade Game Studios were in attendance at PAX Unplugged this past weekend, and what an amazing weekend it was! First of all we want to give a HUGE thank you to all of you amazingly wonderful folks who stopped by to visit us during the event. If it wasn't for all of your love and support we wouldn't be able to do all of this, and any chance we have to spend a little face time, share stories, and play some games with you is something we cherish more than we can express!
Next we owe thanks and gratitude to the amazing volunteer staff we had on hand for the event - between the two teams dealing with all of our boardgame and roleplaying offerings there are simply so many of you who put in your all at these events to give our community of fans the best possible experience. There is simply no way we could possibly manage to do what we do without all your hard work. Your willingness to constantly go the extra mile means the world to us!
Now we need to take a moment to thank our friends at Geek & Sundry who take time out of their busy schedules to come and do awesome stuff with our community. All of you are absolute bursts of sunshine every single time you're around, and we really do appreciate all you do. Even stopping by the booth at conventions to say hello to fans and sign product - we couldn't ask for better folks to work with on the regular!
Moving right along with the thanks train, we owe a big thank you to the creators who work with us on the content you all love, as they also take time out of their already busy schedules to come by at conventions and do special events for our fans. There were so many of you out at PAX this year I don't want to try and listing it all in fear that I would miss someone by mistake. Needless to say you are all shinning reflections of this amazing industry we find ourselves apart of!
And finally to close out the sentiments, we at Hunters Entertainment would like to also thank our partners at Renegade Game Studios for all of their support, and for being some of the greatest people to work with on a day to day basis - let alone to spend a convention weekend with. Thanks so much for being the fantastic folks that you are!
Alright, now with all of the sentiments out of the way, how about we take a second to look over some of the great pictures we managed to gather up over the weekend. We'll have some additional photos on offer via our social accounts, so be sure to check in there too and relive more of the fun!
Thanks again to everyone for making PAX Unplugged 2018 such an amazing experience for us!

That covers it, long winded as it might be, for now. See you all next year - and be safe over the holidays to come!
