Hunters Gathering: Apr. 2020
What a Crazy Year! We continue to make our way through 2020, and the year just keeps on striving to be one of the strangest and most confusing times on recent record. While much of the world is essentially coming to a near standstill, we here at Hunters Entertainment are continuing forward since we have that luxury. So why don't we talk about something a little more light for the time being. First though, as we always do, a quick reminder for you to come connect with the team and community on our official social pages:
Altered Carbon Pledge Manager Live!
The surveys have been sent out to our backers and our Pledge Manage, CrowdOx, is now live! You can now get in and let us know what Add-ons you wanted to grab, manage your pledge, and take care of your shipping. You can find out all about how to make use of CrowdOx in Update #28.
Speaking of shipping, we also have some details about all of that which we recently rolled out. The long and short of it all is that our base shipping rate ended up varying from our original estimate, and we wanted to take a moment to explain why that ended up being the case. Additionally, we also wanted to figure out a way to make that fact up to our backers at the lowest physical Tiers. You can read all about the shipping details in Update #29.
We are very excited to be getting so close to the point that you'll all get to see the game in full, but for the time being be sure to pop over and grab the Rules Summary and Intro Scenario on the Altered Carbon page here on our site. That will give you a little taste until we get to release.
Free Content Friday 2020 Continues!
Now that it is April it is time for the next release of our Free Content Friday 2020 run! Just a real quick breakdown if you're new to this:
Free Content Friday is a program at Hunters Entertainment where we collaborate with industry veterans and members of our amazing community to bring fresh and free content to our games. In 2020 we've been very pleased to grow the program to include Outbreak: Undead.., Kids on Bikes, Icarus, and Overlight (via our partners at Renegade Game Studios)! So, what are we getting this month?
For Outbreak: Undead.. we have an interesting little scenario, "The Old Man and the Z," which should be a fun little diversion for your survivors! This particular little scenario has been written and developed by the games lead, Christopher J. De La Rosa. This will be a truly unique little experience!
With the Powered by Kids on Bikes line we have something for you Teens in Space fans throughout the cosmos, and what a treat it is! For April we have partnered up with our friends at Smirk & Dagger Games to bring you "A Menace Among the Teens in Space" by Jeff Gum. Directly tying into their amazing social deduction game, The Menace Among Us, you'll have the chance to bring some of your favorite species over to use in your RPG sessions!
Next up for Icarus we are continuing on with a new Setting Suggestion for you. In this installment, lead developer Spenser Starke has worked up a fun new dystopian world for you to establish your Icarus story in. Specifically you'll be taken to the dusty, rusty world of "The Metal Atoll" for a fresh new take. Now is a great time to make use of the accessibility rules and play online with friends!
Finally we have our Overlight offering for you, which is the next installment to the "Seeds of Berkhan" created by developers George Holland and Paul Alexander Butler! This installment explores the Skyborn Assassin known as Sarcholi Nunka, with stat block and a detailed background. Tell your GM you're excited to run into this interesting character in your next session!
That covers this month's new free content that you can download over on DriveThruRPG (and it is available right now), but don't forget that you can also get involved by creating content for the program. Just send an email to Alex with a pitch for a content release, and if we approve the idea you'll get to work it up professionally with the team and be paid for your work! We look forward to working with you.
Whispers of Luna!
To close things out for this month we wanted to end things with something of a little teaser. We know full well that the World of Darkness community have been waiting patiently for any scraps of news related to Werewolf: The Apocalypse. Well, we are happy to say that you can expect a bit of a treat coming next week.

That covers it for the time being. Until next we meet stay healthy and stay safe. We're all in this together!
